Documentaries:

1) If you log in the site  http://www.archivioluce.com/  (only in Italian language) and you perform a search with the words "Qui turbonave Michelangelo" you can watch in streaming video a sensational video promo of Michelangelo (with Italian audio), right 10' length. There are also other short videos about Michelangelo and Raffaello from the TV news of these years (Report by Simone Bandini, Pisa - Italy)

2) "Buon viaggio, Michelangelo" (original Italian title "Mà de mà"):  A nice documentary produced by Fandango about the story of Michelangelo and Raffaello, narrated in very romanced way through the hypothetic tale of a son of an officer of Michelangelo. The documentary has been transmitted on the German-French satellite TV channel "ARTE" in July 2004 and later on other networks. It has been also sold (titled as "Mà de mà") with some issues of the newspaper of Genova "Il secolo XIX", in december 2004.

Movies:

1) My love help me (Amore mio aiutami, Italy 1969)

Probably the best chance to see some alive interiors of Michelangelo and Raffaello, and filmed with colours!

About 20 minutes of the movie are filmed on board the 2 Twins. In the movie the two starring mount on Raffaello, but in reality the scenes are filmed both aboard Michelangelo and Raffaello. In detail: the ballroom,  the 1st class restaurant, the view on the outdoor decks at stern were those of Raffaello. Meanwhile their suite is the "Miramare" suite of Michelangelo as well the 1st class lido and the stairs where there is the arrow "tourist class" were aboard Michelangelo.

There are also some minor reports, but curios to know.

1) One audio only, but funny report: in the famous American movie "The Godfather" with Marlon Brando, when the Godfather arrive to Naples by flight, he tell "...eh, it is no more as when we came by the Michelangelo..."

2) In a now not defined Italian comic movie, with the couple of Italian comics "Franco Franchi" and "Ciccio Ingrassia", one of the two starring is pulled onboard a little boat while fairly distant in the background there is one of the 2 Twins. Then the occupants of the boat tell among them: "...and this one from where come from?...he will be fallen from the Raffaello...".

(Unluckily, I think that this movie was impossible to found out of Italy)

3) In the Italian movie "Italia a mano armata" (a detective story) filmed in 1976, it is viewable in one short sequence the Michelangelo moored at a secondary and desolated pier in Genova port. Unfortunately, I think that this movie is impossible to found out of Italy. (We thank Montanari Luca for to have sent us this frame taken from this movie).

4) "What is your zodiacal sign?" ("Di che segno sei?" - Italy 1975): In the episode with starring Paolo Villaggio, it is viewable even if for few instants one of the 2 Twins at Andrea Doria Pier in Genoa port, beside the liner "Guglielmo Marconi" or "Galileo Galilei". But above all, after about 17 minutes from the beginning of the movie, there is one amazing panoramic sight with one of the 2 Twins semi-hidden between the buildings of the port, that give one idea of the size of the liner. Because of the date of the movie, these must be also the last images of the liner still in service. (Unluckily, I think that this movie is almost impossible to found out of Italy)
